1000 Santander Language Scholarships in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania

  • Santander Group is offering 1,000 Santander| English  to boost your career Scholarships in partnership with University of Pennsylvania to help students improve their professional English skills.
  • All students over the age of 18 who are interested in developing their career can apply for the  scholarships.

Santander Group supports the training and development of language skills as it increases employability. That is why Santander Universidades is starting the recruitment for a new project of Santander Language Scholarships| English to boost your career  implemented in cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania. 1000 people who are interested in developing their career by improving their business English skills will be selected to participate in the project.

The scholarships are intended for residents of Poland, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the United States who are over the age of 18 and for whom English is not their native language, but who have a minimum proficiency level of B1 (intermediate).

Recruitment is conducted by the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), one of the leading educational institutions in the world. The university is a member of the prestigious Ivy League  in the United States and is regularly ranked among the top 20 universities in the world by Times Higher Education and QS.

The program allows participants to choose one of three modules based on their career goals:

participants will learn to cope with recruitment processes and interviews in English, thus increasing their chances of gaining employment. They will also have a chance to discover preferences for their future career path while improving their vocabulary and language fluency.

Participants interested in business and the global economy will learn the expert English necessary to analyse market research, develop business plans, attract investors and obtain financing, while learning about business practices from around the world.

Participants will learn to discuss the causes and effects of various events, develop research strategies, and analyse experimental data in English. The course also covers topics related to climate change, where students will learn the use of scientific and technical language.

English language, is often an essential requirement for getting a job and advancing your career in an environment that is rapidly becoming more digital and international. We believe that the development of professional English language skills and a certificate from a prestigious foreign university will help participants stand out in the recruitment processes. We see a huge interest in Santander Language Scholarships, that's why we're launching another project, to which we invite not only students but everyone who is interested in developing their career and competencies

The online course, available on UPenn’s e-learning platform, will include both one-on-one exercises and group activities (discussions, commentaries and Q&A sessions with teachers and other program participants, as well as mentoring from internationally renowned experts).

The five-week course, which will begin in January 2022, will be taught by faculty from the English Language Programs at the University of Pennsylvania. Applications can be submitted until November 23 via becas-santander.com.
