Our POWER to help. Amazing power of daily banking in Santander Bank Poland

Santander Bank Polska, together with its clients, has once again launched its „Our POWER to Help” aid campaign. This time, thanks to customers’ daily banking, the aid will go to selected oncological centres for children all over Poland.

September is a month of awareness of childhood cancers. Every year as many as 1,200 children  are diagnosed with cancer in Poland. Despite the continuous development of medicine and growing public awareness, it is the second most frequent cause of death in the youngest. To support the needs of children’s oncology centres, the bank organizes the „Our POWER To Help” campaign.

From September 14 to October 5, 2020, the bank will donate 0.05 PLN per each BLIK transaction (which is free for customers)  for the purchase of medical equipment for 10 Polish children’s oncology centres. For this purpose, the bank will take into account, among others, phone transfers, ATM withdrawals and purchases made using BLIK executed during the campaign.

We want to show that our everyday choices matter or, in other words, that they have amazing POWER. By using BLIK to make payments, among others, clients support our campaign and thus help those in need

Anna Kaczmarek

Director of the Retail Banking Department at Santander Bank Polska.

Until October 5, people who want to get involved in the campaign will also be able to pay any amount of money to the Santander Foundation account with the transaction description „HELP”. The money raised in the „Our POWER to help” campaign will be distributed among ten paediatric oncology centres

Marzena Atkielska

President of the Santander Bank Polska Foundation.

With the funds raised from BLIK transactions and donated by customers, the Santander Foundation will purchase necessary medical equipment and transfer it to selected paediatric oncology centres in Poland. Donations can be made to the Foundation’s account:

This is another initiative after the „Double Power of Help” campaign where we invite our clients to join in. Last time over 15 thousand people took part and as a result, Polish hospitals received more than 5 million zlotys for the purchase of necessary equipment and protective gear to fight Covid-19.
