Santander Bank Polska, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Solaris Bus & Coach support Polish cities in sustainable development

The City of Poznań will significantly reduce the impact of urban transport on the environment and improve the quality of the air that citizens breathe. The Municipal Transport Company in Poznań will soon receive 37 zero-emission buses manufactured by Solaris Bus & Coach. The transaction worth over PLN 111 million was financed by Santander Bank Polska and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK).

Poznań is another city which, thanks to the support of Santander Bank Polska, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Solaris Bus & Coach, has expanded its fleet of zero-emission buses. In July 2020, a similar investment was made in Kraków. The city ordered 50 electric buses. By 2025, all local government units are expected to reach the threshold of 30% zero-emission vehicles. The pursuit of such targets is necessary if we want to ensure sustainable development of the country and the health of city residents.

The condition of our environment is deteriorating due to high levels of air pollution, including exhaust fumes, released into the atmosphere. Therefore, electric buses are a necessity, as they significantly reduce fuel consumption and thus improve air quality. Investments in low-emission transport are in line with the mission of our bank, which is to support sustainable development

Electric buses produced by Solaris Bus&Coach are ecological and modern.  They help improve the performance of public transport and are one of the effective ways to fight smog.

Low and zero emission vehicles are undoubtedly the future of sustainable public transport. We are very pleased that in this transformation of our customers' vehicle fleet, we can count on the support of financial institutions which perfectly understand the needs of the market and entrepreneurs.
