This year, Santander Bank Polska was the main partner of the ninth edition of the CSR Fair organised by the Responsible Business Forum. The event took place on 25 May in Warsaw. This time, the main theme of the event was ‘Climate – Development – Business’.

At the Santander Bank Polska stand, visitors could learn about the activities of the Santander Foundation, discover the Santander Universidades scholarship programmes and find out more about the bank’s efforts to create an inclusive workplace.

During the conference part of the fair, the bank sponsored the „Climate” thematic block. A case study on sustainable debt securities was presented by @Kamil Witkowski – Head of Structured Finance in the Credit Markets Department of Santander Bank Polska. An interesting point of the conference was the discussion on the role of financial institutions in supporting the climate and reaching the net-zero goal. The conference was attended by:

  • Katarzyna Szwarc – Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Finance for the Capital Market Development Strategy at the Ministry of Finance
  • Piotr Borawski – Deputy Mayor of Gdansk in charge of Entrepreneurship and Climate Protection, and
  • Maciej Tarnawski – Managing Director, Santander Bank Polska S.A.

During the fair, event participants drank 321 cups of coffee and received 250 flower seedlings at the Santander Bank Polska stand. And 1,035 people took part in a specially prepared quiz.
