Santander Bank Polska once again honoured in „The Best Annual Report” competition

Santander Bank Polska was recognised in as many as four categories for banks and financial institutions in 'The Best Annual Report’ competition. The 2021 report won the „Best of the Best” award. The bank was also recognised for the best report on activities, best report on remuneration and best corporate governance statement.                                                                                                           

’The Best Annual Report’ competition is organised by the Institute of Accounting and Taxation. It promotes annual reports with the greatest value for shareholders and investors.

The highest reporting standards are at the heart of our operating model. This approach is appreciated by investors and other target audiences of the Annual Report of Santander Bank Polska and its Group. And, once again, our Annual Report has been awarded in a competition. This is all the more gratifying when we realise that we are talking about the financial reporting of one of the largest business undertaking in Poland.

In the most recent edition, Santander Bank Polska received as many as four awards – the 'Best of the Best’ award for the 2021 Annual Report, in the banks and financial institutions category. The awards for the best report on activities, the best corporate governance statement and a special award for the best report on remuneration.

The distinction for the Corporate Governance Statement proves that we have an effective governance and oversight system. We care about our stakeholders and transparent communication with the market. And I am pleased that the market appreciates this.

About the competition

The idea behind 'The Best Annual Report’ competition is to create commonly accepted standards for the preparation of annual reports in line with IFRS/IAS and with applicable formal requirements, international and national recommendations, good practices and market expectations. The aim of the competition is to promote the annual reports with the highest value for shareholders and investors. The competition also aims to increase the security of the capital market in Poland and to shape good practices in financial reporting by public companies.
