Santander Bank Polska once again on the Diversity IN Check list
Santander Bank Polska has made it to the Diversity IN Check list for the third time. The list names the most advanced Polish employers in terms of diversity and inclusivity management.
The Diversity IN Check is a tool designed to measure the maturity of organisations in terms of managing diversity and creating an inclusive working environment. To qualify for the list, an organisation must obtain a certain number of points in a survey conducted by the Responsible Business Forum. The questionnaire includes questions from areas such as management basics, programmes and activities of the organisation, building commitment and outcome indicators. This year, 36 companies qualified for the Diversity IN Check list. Santander Bank Polska was among 11 organisations which obtained a score of more than 80%.
We place great emphasis in our bank on creating an inclusive and welcoming space where everyone can develop their talents and improve their competences. Respect for individuality, the promotion of equal treatment and anti-discrimination are integral parts of the strategy of the entire Santander Group. Our actions are not limited to internal projects. Our sense of social responsibility makes us support various groups of people through our programmes and initiatives and encourage others to engage in similar projects.
A culture of diversity and inclusivity is supported at the bank through a number of initiatives, including: Diversity Ambassadors for top management, Employee Networks, educational events, training, webinars (e.g. Diversity Month) and the Santander Women podcast.
Santander Bank Polska has signed the Diversity Charter, an international initiative supported by the European Commission. The Bank pursues objectives related to diversity and inclusivity, including reducing the gender pay gap and increasing the proportion of women in management. It also runs the 'Differently Abled’ programme and implements educational activities. Their aim is to prepare organisations to employ people with disabilities and to raise awareness of the needs of this group of employees.
