The Foundation for the Development of the Education System awarded a distinction to the publication ‘Introduction to Sustainable Development. An Academic Handbook’. Ten educational projects were distinguished from among 400 initiatives implemented in Poland between 2014 and 2022. Santander Bank Polska is a strategic partner of this unique project.

The handbook is the first publication in Poland to present the issue of sustainable development from a humanities perspective. It was created through the initiative of the HumanDoc Foundation and was developed by a team of scientists from the University of Warsaw, the University of Wrocław and the University of Opole.

The publication consists of 28 chapters, which, among other things:

  • present a sustainable approach to outer space,

  • show the world's most intelligent cities and analyses their impact on the environment,

  • explain the origins of water conflicts.

The handbook will soon be updated. It is available in printed form at universities, but can also be downloaded or read online without any restrictions and without the need to log in or register, free of charge at zr.humandoc.pl.
