IMPACT’25 – What a busy time!
Thousands of participants, hundreds of inspiring speeches and the most important names in politics, business and science. This was the anniversary edition of IMPACT. Santander Bank Polska was a strategic partner of the event.
Once again, Poznań became the centre of the European debate on the future of technology, economy and society. The 10th edition of IMPACT attracted over 6,000 participants, 650 speakers and world-class experts, including US President Barack Obama, political scientist Francis Fukuyama and Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk.
The event focused on discussions about global challenges and the role of business in solving them. This year, the main topics included artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the future of work, digital transformation, credibility in business and responsible leadership, as well as the geopolitical challenges facing Europe today.
Representatives of Santander Bank Polska took part in the key discussions. Michał Gajewski, CEO of the bank, participated in the main session entitled ”Global Shifts and Local Impacts: Strategies for a Changing World”, where he spoke alongside Francis Fukuyama, among others. The participants agreed that in the current geopolitical and economic situation, minimising the risks affecting business requires anticipation, efficient response procedures, a high organisational culture and responsible leadership. - Artur Głembocki, Vice-President of the Management Board, participated in the moderated discussion on ”Next-Gen Banking: AI and Big Data for Smarter Financial Services”. He talked about how artificial intelligence has changed the approach to risk management and customer service, outlining a vision for a new era in banking..
- Piotr Bodył-Szymala, Legal and Regulatory Counsellor to the President of the Management Board, in his speech ”The evolution of the job market, new challenges, opportunities, and the role of leaders in shaping ethics and transparency” analysed the evolution of the labour market, new challenges facing employees and employers, as well as the role of leaders in building ethics and transparency in organisations.
- Magdalena Proga-Stępień, Vice-President of the Management Board, shared her experiences related to digital transformation in the bank during a discussion entitled ”Strategic Digital Transformation in a Bank: How to Do It Right?”, explaining how to carry out this process effectively and in line with the organisation’s strategy.
- Lech Gałkowski, Vice-President of the Management Board, participated in the debate ”Leader today and tomorrow – leadership skills that drive engagement and team performance”, talked about the role of a leader in modern business and the leadership skills that are critical to team effectiveness nowadays.
- Adam Ocharski, Head of Models and Data Area, explored the topic of collaboration between humans and AI in a moderated discussion on ”The Human-AI Collaboration”, showing how technology can support us in decision-making.
- Dominika Bettmann, Supervisory Board Member, took part in the debate ”From cloud to capital: how technologies are shaping the global economy” highlighting the dynamic growth of the Polish cloud services market.
