„Fairy Tales for Adults” by Santander Bank Polska awarded three times at the Golden Clips 2022 Gala

Santander Bank Polska’s latest educational campaign, promoting the principles of cyber security, won as many as three statuettes at the 'Golden Clips’, the most important PR competition in Poland.

During the Gala accompanying the final of the 20th edition of the competition, Santander Bank Polska won the most valuable gold statuette in the „Finance” category, and two bronze statuettes, in the „Social Media” and „Content Marketing” categories.

„Fairy Tales for Adults” is an educational campaign by Santander Bank Polska running since 2021, in which the bank reminds people in an unusual way how to keep their data safe online and how to protect themselves from online criminals. For the 'Fairy Tales for Adults’ campaign, real-life scams suffered by internet users were used as themes. The resulting fairy tales for adults are stories which should not be believed in.

The authors of the fairy tales are popular writers, including Janina Bąk, Wojciech Chmielarz and Jakub Szamałek. Their writings have been converted into three short films, which tell the story of how a well-planned, fictitious and quite unbelievable story can put people off their guard, e.g. on the Internet, and what the consequences are.

For many years, the Bank has been carrying out activities promoting #CyberAwareness among its customers and other financial market participants. To this end, Santander Bank Polska carries out a variety of educational initiatives, including last year’s 'CyberProverbs’ or the Santander Foundation’s 'Independent and Safe Seniors on the Web’ programme. The bank also makes additional services available to customers, such as 'CyberRescue’, which provides ongoing expert support on internet safety. In an emergency situation, customers can contact CyberRescue experts 24 hours a day, via Messenger, email, phone call and text message.

Golden Clips 2022 were handed out on 2 December this year during the competition’s final gala. This is the most important competition of the PR industry in Poland, organised by the Public Relations Companies Association. Every year, the most effective and best-run communication campaigns are recognised and rewarded in the competition. This year, 445 entries were submitted, and the jury selected 110 to compete for the Gold, Silver or Bronze Clip awards.
