Santander Bank Polska becomes a partner of the „Sustainable Digital Footprint. Responsibility of the Future” report
This latest publication presents the results of research into the impact of high technology on human relations and the environment. In addition, it is an attempt to answer questions about social expectations and companies’ actions in this area. The report is the result of cooperation between the Responsible Business Forum and the Warsaw School of Economics, and the publication’s partners are Santander Bank Polska and Orange Polska.
The first survey presented in the report was conducted among consumers and the second among a group of businesses with more than 50 employees. Both addressed key issues related to the digital footprint. The report also includes the results of the experts’ work and their comments.
The development of artificial intelligence brings great opportunities, but also risks. However, our experience shows that properly designed AI solutions modelled together with customers (UX-User experience) produce excellent results that deliver mutual value. It is also important that solutions prepared in this way are subject to a continuous monitoring and improvement process, which allows AI solutions to be flexibly adapted to the changing reality of VUCA.

What is a sustainable digital footprint?
The first objective of the 2021 project was to clarify the term 'sustainable digital footprint’. According to the proposed definition, it is the aggregate of the positive and negative social, environmental and economic impacts associated with the use of new technologies within an organisation’s operations, along the entire value chain. This definition was developed in collaboration with experts from academia and NGOs, as well as representatives of the business community.
