In the prestigious „Bank of the Year 2025” competition, Santander Bank Polska received the title of Best Bank in Poland for the 4th time. This year, the bank was appreciated for its very good financial results, strategic initiatives, technological innovations, and high quality of customer service.

The Banker „Bank of the Year” awards are among the most prestigious distinctions in the global financial sector, granted annually by the international magazine The Banker (Financial Times group). The aim of the competition is to honor financial institutions that, in a given year, stood out for their exceptional financial strength, stability, and effective implementation of business strategy.

I am proud of the position that Santander Bank Polska holds in the Polish market. For many years, we have accompanied our clients in achieving success, supported the local economy and entrepreneurs in development, as a partner with a stable position. This has always been and will remain the goal of our operations. This award highlights the value we create for clients and shareholders and is a recognition of the progress of our transformation. The competition evaluated, among others, the Santander Bank Polska strategy „Helping to achieve more” for 2024-2026, which is based on the pillars of Total Experience, Total Digitalization, and Total Responsibility. Its main goal is to consistently build the best experiences for clients and employees, accelerate digital transformation, and act in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, which is expected to have an impact on positive social changes and contribute to the bank’s value growth.

The competition jury selected Santander Bank Polska as the best bank in Poland due to its stable and very good financial results, innovative products and solutions introduced in 2024, including dynamic changes in the bank’s mobile application. Last year, the banking app gained, among others: a shortened transfer process, favorite recipients feature, Finance Assistant, Games and multimedia, Subscriptions, as well as new currencies in Santander Exchange and Kantor24, and the ability to open an account in the app in 12 currencies. The bank was also appreciated for a new identity verification method when opening an online account using the mObywatel application and for introducing an emissions calculator for corporate and business clients, which allows estimating and generating a CO2 emissions report, as well as identifying ways to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

The Banker magazine was founded in 1926. The annual „Bank of the Year” awards are considered among the most prestigious in the financial industry. Institutions competing for the award are assessed in terms of their ability to achieve strong financial results and their
