Santander Bank Polska wins two POLSIF Awards 2025 for its contribution to sustainable finance
The POLSIF Awards 2025 are given for best practices in sustainable investing and ESG in Poland. Santander Bank Polska was awarded for its efforts towards sustainable transformation in two categories: Best Sustainability-Linked Financing and Best Sustainable Financing.
Award in the category of Best Sustainability-Linked Financing
Santander Bank Polska received the main award for its role as the lead arranger of an ESG syndicated loan and the issue of sustainability-linked bonds for Cyfrowy Polsat.
We are proud that our contribution to the promotion of innovative sustainable financing tools has been recognised. This distinction confirms that various Sustainability-Linked solutions effectively support our Clients' transition towards more responsible and environmentally friendly business practices, strengthening their market position and contributing to the achievement of tangible results in the area of ESG.
Award in the Best Sustainable Financing category
In this category, the competition jury recognised Santander Bank Polska for financing Eneris B&R investment in Żarki. The financing was granted for the construction of one of Europe’s largest recycling facilities for lithium batteries and production waste from the electromobility industry. The main highlight of this project is the area of financing, i.e. recycling according to the Circular Economy model, as opposed to the already widely financed Renewable Energy Sources.

The POLSIF Awards 2025 were presented on 17 September 2025 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange during the Sustainable Investment Forum Poland (POLSIF) 2025 ceremony.
The POLSIF Awards are Poland’s first industry awards entirely dedicated to sustainable finance. The competition, organised by the POLSIF – Sustainable Investment Forum Poland Association, recognises institutions, funds and companies that implement solutions supporting climate and energy transformation and the development of a socially responsible economy.
