This is the second year in a row that the bank has been awarded the Great Place To Work® certificate. In this year’s edition, 76 per cent of employees surveyed said Santander Bank Polska is a great place to work.

Great Place To Work® is the global expert in workplace culture, employee experience and leadership behaviours that translate into market-leading revenues, employee retention and increased innovation. The certification is an endorsement of the bank’s efforts to build a strategy based on trust and an organisational culture that supports diversity.

We are proud to have received the prestigious Great Place To Work™ certificate for the second year in a row. The best employee experience is a priority for us every day. The certification reflects the voice of our employees, which speaks volumes about our workplace culture, said Dorota Strojkowska, Member of the Management Board of Santander Bank Polska. We owe this success to the team of dedicated employees of our bank. Today we are celebrating and we thank them for everything they do to earn this amazing award.

Santander Bank Polska employees have a flexible working environment that places emphasis on preventing exclusion. Their work is evaluated not only in terms of what they achieve but also how they achieve it. This year, the bank once again organised a Sports Tournament and a Family Day for employees. Through such initiatives, employees can get to know each other better and feel part of a larger community. It is worth noting that more than 10 Santander Group banks in different countries have already been certified as Great Places to Work®.

Workplace assessment method

A key criterion for certification is a positive result of the Trust Index™ survey. The minimum threshold is 65 per cent. This survey, based on the Great Place To Work methodology, assesses the employee experience at a given company. This ensures that only organisations that employees believe are an exceptional place to work are awarded the certificate.

Great Place To Work certification is a highly desirable accomplishment that requires a consistent and focused commitment to the overall employee experience, says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President for Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasises that certification is the only official recognition gained through real-time feedback from employees on their company's culture.
