Santander Group committed to promote female leadership
Santander supports equal opportunities in the labour market and the enhancement of professional qualifications. It continuously engages in projects promoting female leadership in business. The Bank has just announced the 14th edition of the Santander Course | SW50 Leadership Programme 2024 – LSE, an exclusive training programme for 50 women in senior management positions, taught by the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
The course is aimed at women residing in 11 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and Uruguay). Since it was first launched, more than 750 women have participated in the programme.`
The course focuses primarily on the development of management competences. Participants will gain access to training on global leadership style, characteristics and techniques. They will also draw up and analyse their own leadership idea and take part in high-impact conferences and individual and group coaching sessions. The programme is also an excellent opportunity to share experiences about professional careers and build an international network of contacts.
A consolidated and successful programme such as Santander W50 reflects the commitment of the bank and its dedication to female leadership. To do this, we continue to rely on training as the main lever, which is consolidated even more by a partner like LSE, who we have worked with for many years.
We are immensely proud of our continuing relationship with Banco Santander to deliver this important programme, addressing the needs of women in senior management positions. Each year, we are hugely impressed by the quality and diversity of applicants, and we look forward to welcoming the 2024 cohort who we are sure will uphold this tradition of excellence.
The programme is delivered on a full-time basis, on the LSE campus. The scholarship provides the leaders with the costs for the course, tuition fees and accommodation in London.
The programme is structured in three phases:
- an initial online session where the 50 participants, professors and mentors will introduce themselves;
- the main phase, a week delivered in person in London at LSE’s central London campus; and
- an online session where participants will present their individual development plan to the group of professors.
Applications can be submitted at Santander Open Academy (Santanderopenacademy.com) until 13 March 2024.
