We Will Double Your Impact for children in mental health crisis
Santander Bank Polska Group’s annual charity campaign „We Will Double Your Impact” has been launched. This year, funds are being collected for a chat at the nationwide helpline 116 111, which is run by the Empowering Children Foundation. The bank will match the amounts donated doubling the contributions up to the total of PLN 1 million.
For the past four years, the Bank, together with the Santander Bank Polska Foundation and Group companies, has organised a charity event in which it doubles the amount of the funds raised. The money has supported those in need – last year refugees and earlier child psychiatry wards in hospitals and the fight against pandemic.
So far, around 46,000 people have taken part in We Will Double Your Impact and together we have raised more than PLN 11 million. This time we want to encourage support for the development of a chat for young people who need psychological help. We all know how negatively the mental condition of children and young people has been affected by the pandemic. Many studies and reports have shown how much there is to do when it comes to psychological support. We feel a responsibility to care for the wellbeing and safety of the youngest members of our society. That's why we believe that providing them with access to such a tool is an investment in the future, mental health and development of the youngest part of society.

The Empowering Children Foundation has been running a helpline for children and young people for 14 years. During this time, it has received more than 1.4 million calls from children seeking help. More than 4,000 times it has saved health and lives during these calls.
As not all children are able to talk freely on the phone, the Foundation has additionally piloted a unique chat service staffed by psychologists and educators – specialists in helping children and young people in crisis. The children and young people’s helpline and chat service operate thanks to, among other things, individual donations and contributions from partners and sponsors. Funds from this year’s edition of We Will Double Your Impact will go towards maintaining this chat. The charity fundraiser will run for one month.

Santander Group matches the contributions and doubles their value up to the total amount of PLN 1 million. Example 1: PLN 800,000 was raised during the Campaign.
