Santander Bank Polska opens another Work/Café

We have just launched  another multi-purpose facility where next to  our bank branch visitors and customers will be able to use the available workspace and a café. The Work/Café in Gdańsk is the second establishment of this kind after Warsaw.

We keep an eye on how our environment and customer needs change. Many people work in a project system, remotely or as freelancers. Research from Gartner, a global consulting firm, shows that up to 30% of employees will be working remotely on a permanent basis, and many will start sharing their time more actively than before between in-office and out-of-office. We know that in addition to professional service and high quality products, consumers expect us to understand and adapt to their lifestyle, especially after the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have created a comfortable space for them to combine their duties with spending time in a pleasant environment, while maintaining all the sanitary standards that apply during the pandemic

Krzysztof Piskorski
Director of Region no. 1 at Santander Bank Polska in Gdansk.

A year ago, we opened the first Work/Café branch in the centre of Warsaw, at 44 Złota Street. The location is distinguished by excellent accessibility to public transport and proximity to the most important points on the city map. According to Cushman & Wakefield, 60% of the total coworking space in the capital is located close to the city centre*.

The new format of the outlet met with great interest of the bank’s clients. They appreciate the excellent location and availability of advisors in the branch on Saturdays, as well as the possibility to book rooms for business meetings. Before the introduction of pandemic restrictions, Work/Café also held events and meetings devoted to various topics: from IT and HR innovations to cultural and life-style events

Coworking space available also in the Tri-City

The newly opened Work/Café is located at 472 Grunwaldzka Street in Gdańsk, in the popular office complex OLIVIA Business Centre (Olivia Gate). The concept of such an outlet format, which combines the bank’s branch, café and workspace, was developed by Banco Santander Chile which already operates 55 outlets of this kind. Poland is one of 8 countries in the world where Work/Cafés have been opened.

Many people still work remotely and their home environment often does not allow them to work comfortably. That is why we provide our clients with space where they will be able to work in a pleasant environment, organize their business meetings or teleconferences, take advantage of multimedia facilities, office equipment, as well as receive support from our advisors. We also hope that in the near future we will be able to return to the organization of interesting events

Work/Café visitors can also enjoy a wide selection of food and drinks. The bank took care of the highest quality of the coffee served, which is provided by the family company Cophi Solutions. Its beans come from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and India, but are roasted locally in Poland. Customers who pay with Santander Bank Polska cards receive a 30% discount on all products in the café.
