Santander Bank Polska together with Santander Foundation donates 2 million zlotys for medical equipment and launches the fund-raiser for further fight with the epidemic.

In response to the coronavirus outbreak and the needs reported by the Polish health care system, Santander Bank Polska will donate 2 million zlotys for the purchase of essential medical equipment for 8 Polish hospitals. The Bank has also declared that it would double the amount raised in the fund-raising initiative launched by the Santander Bank Polska Foundation.

Doctors and medical staff need our support. The fight against the coronavirus outbreak requires immediate actions, including financial support, therefore we have acted at once. We all want to return to normal and enjoy the good and beautiful things in our life again as soon as possible. Today we have a unique opportunity to contribute and help others. As a financial institution we act responsibly: we take care of our employees safety, we help our customers go through this difficult time and we respond to the most urgent needs of the medical services

Via the Foundation, Santander Bank Polska will donate two million zlotys to be distributed to the following hospitals in Gdańsk, Kraków, Lublin, Poznań, Puławy, Wrocław and Warsaw:

  • Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny im. J. Gromkowskiego Wrocław [regional hospital in Wrocław]
  • Samodzielny Publiczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej w Puławach [hospital in Puławy]
  • SP ZOZ Szpital Uniwersytecki w Krakowie [university hospital in Kraków]
  • Wielospecjalistyczny Szpital Miejski im. Józefa Strusia [municipal hospital in Poznań]
  • Samodzielny Publiczny Szpital Kliniczny Nr 1 w Lublinie [research and teaching hospital in Lublin]
  • Pomorskie Centrum Chorób Zakaźnych i Gruźlicy [centre for contagious diseases and tuberculosis in Gdańsk]
  • Ginekologiczno-Położniczy Szpital Kliniczny Uniwersytetu Medycznego im. Karola Marcinkowskiego w Poznaniu  [gynecological-maternity hospital in Poznań]
  • Central Szpital Kliniczny MSWiA Warszawa [research and teaching hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration in Warsaw]

Our donation will be spent on ventilators, tests, protective clothing – all supplies that are now most needed in the fight against the coronavirus. However, the Bank does not stop at this point.

We will double your impact - the Bank doubles the donations

Today Santander Bank Polska Foundation has launched a fund-raising initiative for medical equipment most needed in hospitals. The Bank will double the amounts donated by its customers and all other persons into the Foundation account –  Santander has allocated another 2 million zlotys for that purpose.
